Toilet Clogs

If your toilet clogs, there are a few things you can do to try and resolve the issue. Firstly, try using a plunger to dislodge the blockage.

Simply place the plunger over the hole at the bottom of the bowl and push and pull it in an up and down motion. If that doesn't work, you can try using a plumbing snake to break up the clog. Insert the snake into the toilet and turn the handle to break up the blockage.

Sink & Shower Clogs

Drain clogs typically happen when hair and other debris gets trapped in the drain opening. You may be able to fish out this debris using a drain cleaning tool.

Many hardware stores sell tools specifically designed for this purpose.

Please do not use harsh chemicals to clean your drain, as they could damage your plumbing system.

If you lose electrical power in your home, the first step is to check if your neighbors are also affected, as this could indicate a power outage in your area.

If it's just your home that's been impacted, check your electrical panel to see if a breaker has tripped or a fuse has blown. If this is the case, reset the breaker or replace the fuse.

If everything appears normal, check if any of your appliances or devices are causing the issue and unplug them.

If none of these steps work, contact your utility company to report the outage and seek further assistance. There may be billing issues on your account or other problems that have caused you to lose access.

If you don't have hot water access in your rental, locate the water heater and verify all settings on the tank. Does everything look correct?

If you are using a gas-powered heater, check to see whether the pilot light is lit.

If you make any changes to the temperature settings, wait 15 to 20 minutes for the changes to take effect before testing the water temperature again.

If your heat or air conditioning isn't working properly, use the central thermostat in your rental home to troubleshoot the problem. Verify that the temperature has been set correctly and there are no error messages on the control console.
